Private Sports Centers

DIPP PhD students have the opportunity to join close-by sport centers with special student’s prizes.

BiOlympics is a fun sports event where teams from various institutes on the Dresden BIOPOLIS campus compete with each other over three days.

Disciplines include classical sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, or frisbee, but also funny games like “eating a water melon without using your hands” or “throwing eggs (and trying to catch them)”. Even a triathlon with canoeing, running and biking was once part of the contest. One afternoon is usually dedicated to indoor games like darts, chess, pingpong, or video games.
